Pavlova Recipe

Ingredients:
4 Egg whites
1 Cup of fine white sugar
2 Teaspoons of vinegar
1 Tablespoon of cornflour
1 Teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 Carton of whipping cream
Passionfruit, strawberries or bananas (real great big ones), sliced
a little cornflour and icing sugar for dusting

Method:
Grease an oven tray & dust with icing sugar & cornflour. (1) Beat the egg whites until very stiff, then slowly add the sugar, beating until the mixture is even stiffer. (2) Fold in the cornflour, vinegar and vanilla essence and pile light on the tray to about 20cms across. Bake in a slow oven 1-1¿ hours until firm. Do not allow to colour on top. (3) When it is cool, spread with the cream and passion fruit and either strawberries or bananas. Serves 6-8.

Safety note: Ask an adult to take the pavlova out of the oven for you.

How to make your own wobble-board (and how to play it as well)

It's simple, really it is. Take the covers off of some back issues of Your Sinclair (non-British readers will find this easier, since their copies only had one staple in order to save on postage costs), and stick then together. Now wobble it Rolf Harris style, until it makes a sort of wobble sound. That's it really. Just decorate it with a picture of a rolf-a-roo.
